Making a games for consoles is generally a lot easier than PC and you know that. It's also more profitable so why the hell not?

Imagine a console game you'd have played probably 2000h? If it had a single bug you'd most likely have found it, unlike games you play 20h and forget.

BF2 is and excellent multiplayer game. Period. I think you all would agree since you post here. Whatever BF:BC is going to be it's not going to be an online game. All the fancy stuff (if it ever makes it in game) like destructible things already kill any multiplayer game. There has to be rules to follow, Crysis will never shine as a multiplayer game. It's way too good. Too bad single player games are not that profitable, no matter how good. Look at CS, can you see something complicated there? One of the most simple online fps ever made, yet difficult enough to be worth of years of practice. And tons of money.

If you have ever played HL2 you would now what game engines did 2004. Btw it's amazing how the most complicated engine gets the most simple games (CS:S, Quake, UT...). There's not much it can't do, but all features won't be used because it would not be very pleasant online experience.

ET: QW is coming and looking good so far. They recently called experienced clans to join beta testing, and so far it looks like this one is going to be one serious multiplayer game.

I think it's pretty much already proven that the latest graphics and destructible walls and such do not make an online game.

So far the best and most popular 'exclusive' games for the PS3, won't be out in North America until next year at the earliest.

Lair is probably the only game that looks 'fun' that'll be released within the next two months. I guess after getting caught up in all the glitz, glammour and graphics, Sony forgot to tell the developers to add depth to their games too.

Armored Core 4 is the worst of the series and MotorStorm was a hilarious misuse of the PS3's capabilities by being a 3D adventure, with a 2D background. The Stunts and the Camera trick was nice, but it was still nothing more than a rehash of old Sega Saturn racing games. Evolution Studios needs a new niche.

I'm currently working up the courage to shell out $10 to rent Resistance.

The entire reason I bought a PS3, was to play the Koei (RoTK/DW + Historical Sims) and Namco ("Tales of" RPG series + Ogre Battle series) games that were promised to be released this year. Unfortunately as was reported two weeks after I bought my PS3, the games mentioned in the parenthesis are instead being released on the Wii, as the developers jumped off the Sony Bandwagon.

I was told to et a 360 or PS3 but I like mice better then those tiny wierd joystick control thingys. A mouse seems to be more accurate, and yes, I have goten good with both so you can't say it's because I'm not used to it.

Oh and the PS3 like JUST came out here, in switzerland...

I wouldn't consider BF: Bad Company to be BF3... Would BF: Modern Combat be BF4?

Console games are different from PC games. I will say that destructable environments in BF:BC sounds like an amazing idea considering tanks, and grenades, and artillery, and bombs, and all the things in the game destroy environments.
