Vista Punkbuster insufficient O/S Privileges solution

If you are running Windows Vista and your Battlefield game disconnects from Punkbuster enabled servers with the
PB kick error:

Insufficient O/S Privileges

This means you must start Battlefield as Administrator. There are two ways to do this.

1. Right click on the icon and select “Run as Administrator”

2. Right click on the icon and select “Properties”. Select the “Compatibility” tab and check the “Run this program as an administrator” check box. Now you can click the icon normally.

This method can be used with any game that uses punkbuster.

Not that it is necessarily the right solution for everyone, but disabling UAC also stops that error from happening.

What's the other way of doing it. I'm guessing that if I dont run BF2 as an administator, my joy2key will work. So if there's another way, how do you do it?

This didnt work for me in the "compatability" tab i don't have a run as administrator just; Run this program in compatability more for: then like windows 98 and things like that, no administrator -.-

This is no longer needed. You have to run BF2 or install Punkbuster once as an administrator, then from then on, you can always play as a limited user.
