"Connection lost" prob

yo, sry if this is a common topic, I dont tend to update myself here alot :P
anyhow, I have this problem, I connect to specific servers, everything is fine and about in a minute i lose connection and the game tells me the server has been lost.Goes wayy back, before the 1.4 patches-
Its pretty specific - happens only with a few servers.
My problem is that one of them is quite a favorite of mine.
Ive been playing the game since it came out and had no issues before, its an "on and off" problem- sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.
my pc is ok, in fact it was just formated, so i don't think it has to do anything with outer programs
can anyone assist?

if you have dual core m8, set the bf2.exe in process affinity to use 1 cpu instead of 2...I had same problem, if not, try updating punkbuster..

google pbsetup, download and save it to a new folder on your c drive(mines in c:/program files/punkbuster, say called punkbuster, run it, add your game then update..hope this helps

I have the exact same issue. It's been on and off and I've been playing since release where I had no problems for some time. All the sudden I'm getting them again and I can't figure out why.

I get in for about 15 seconds and then it loses my connection ONLY to BF2 and nothing else. And, it doesn't happen all the time, so I can't understand how to fix it :hmm:
