Whats people air skill????

hi everyone,

I'm posting this thread to see what people's air skill and general plane usage is like.

I am a sergeant and i have about 8 hours ply time, but my win / loose ratio of deaths in a j-10 for dogfights is about 5 kills to one death.
When dive bombing i usually get 2 kills to a death in a J-10.
I have my own simple plan set out for any type of lock on, firstly; air-air; if i get locked on by another plane my maneuver goes... right hand barrel roll, then left hand, then a sharp loop with afterburner and flares, if i still have a lock i circle then repeat. I then get behind them and own them.

For anti air, like the USS ESSEX i firstly do my air - air maneuver but then the trick is to fly away as fast as possible while doing tight turns and barrel rolls.

Most of the time i never use flares, my lock ons don't last long enough.

IN my J-10 you don't want to be against me because me against an f-35b i only use 2 missiles, 3 max to shoot you down, most of the time you wont get a chance to bail, especially as the J-10 can out maneuver any jet.

I want to know YOUR stories and evasion methods for any jet on BF2, tell me them, and if u can, tell me some of your win/loss ratios.

For any jet besides the J-10 I just fly really really high.
In bombers Ill stay high (500+) and swoop in for bombing and then get right back up.
F35 I try to use as a air to surface plane, like a mini bomber...try to stay high and out of sight..unless I see a bomber...I dont even try to alert J-10's or Migs Im around.
F18, I fly that like a J-10..pure fighter
Migs I fly like F35's but have a lil more confidence. Basically I try to fly for bombing unless Im in a J-10 or F18..those 2 Ill keep under 500 feet..all the other planes I stay super high swoop in for attacks and make random attacks vs. air if I feel I have a opening.

Most of my hours in a plane are from pre-patch...I gave up flying when it became point and click..I know its more real, but old school cannon battles with a touch of A2A missles was the best IMO.

its not soo effective, but when they are close to you and have trouble hitting you, you go straight up and cut throttle to zero, they will pass you, and you end up right on their seven! i just hate doing it with the f-35 because the thrust vectors turning to hover alerts them that im slowing down, so i try to avoid it there, and only cut my throttle half way (thrust vectors wont turn downward, just slower speed)

My overall fast air KDR is 2.75, with 68 hours played.

My recent trend for a-a combat is easily 10-1 in the old J-10, and probably about 5-1 in the F35. The F-18 and mig are somewhere in between.

I went 80-12 in a bomber last week. That was a hoot.


Does any body know a stat generator that can give me stats within a specified date range?

I clean up in the J10 and bailout at the first flag of opportunity in the F35

OMG.......

This thread will never end. There's a ton of people in here that at a drop of a hat will let you how wonderful a pilot they are, they certainly don't need any encouragement.

Just hang around and read posts for a few days, you've never seem more boasting in your life.

I am beyond the best. I always pilot on unranked or mods because that's where the best players are.

ANYONE can have a semi-decent KDR in a J-10. You've played for 8 hours, so I'll give you a break.

In a J-10, my KDR is anywhere from 13-78 depending on the round. That's because it's a J-10. The J-10 can break any lock. You could get locked on, cut throttle, kind turn a little bit but not really, and the missles fly off in the other direction and somehow hit something else. In a J-10, all of the missles you use WILL hit the target.

Ever wonder why you're awesome in a J-10, and suck in every other plane? Because it's a huge imbalance in the air-air aspect of the game.

Fly an F-35, and I guarantee you won't think of yourself so high on the food chain. You've got a ways to go to call yourself good in jets. I don't even call myself good.

I'll let someone else tear you up...

And about the J-10 out maneuvering any other plane. ROFL. It's slow, clunky, and doesn't respond well. The F-35 COULD outmaneuver J-10s if they had the chance to break lock. Or if you're like some of us and don't give the J-10s the chance to lock(or at least try).

I like to say that I strictly fly F-35s. Although the Su-34 is a dream, and I've grown somewhat accustomed to the MiG.

Ah sigh another boon thread. If you want to get better at jets I recommend Sarge's Dogfighting guide and [CANADA]Zenmaster's Guide. Some of the things in them I didn't knew. I also changed my use of bombs and it helped me a lot :)

I, honestly, don't mind it. I'd be happy if all they did was increased the J-10's hitbox by just a hair, and decreased the F-35's by just a hair. Other than that...leave it like it is.

The f-35 is just a **** jet, no-one can evade with it, you could be shot down with a tv missile from a ah-17 ; not that i have nudge nudge lol
