A server dream?

Hey guys long time bf2 player but quit awhile ago. i just got back into playing again and was going to put up a ranked server with reg and SF. now i wanna make it so people enjoy it we always have respectful admins and dont abuse n such, thats not the prob. What we need is suggestions from you guys on what you want in a server now a days? maps, infantry, or not? ill gladly make a server to the most suggestion types made. yup all for you guys, here is basic stuff on server

Based in Texas
20 slot (for now will move up to 22-30 when popular)

you cant go between SF and vanilia withour having to restart up your game.

I've seen lot's of 16 player slots and never seen anyone playing in them, I think it would be best if you could put up a 64 slot with no lag, if possible.
Anyway, you can only choose to play SF or Vanilla maps at once, just like Falcon said. The best map rotation would be Warlord/Ghost Town/Night maps, and 2 rounds of each.

a rotation of all maps would be nice so your not just playing the same thing over and over again
maybe like 2 rounds per map and rotate between city,vehicle, and air maps

Um great location, i'm in austin. You should stick between 20 and 28; 28 more preferably. Maybe 10 rounds a map(i hate servers that switch maps every 2 rounds, i didn't buy bf2 to look at a load screen the whole time) and don't put every map on the line up.And it would be nice have a change from a city map to an air map every other map. Thanks for letting us give suggestions, and tell me the name or ip of your server.

i might use SF maps like warlord but i wont switch it out all the time maybe once in awhile but for now sticking to vanilla maps

i think the ideal server, has EVERY MAP at least 3 rounds per map....

im sick of all those stupid servers only playing IO and/or popular maps that are constantly getting over played....

also, one thing that would be great is to put the map rotation in the server name.....that is most convenient...

also forget all those retarded no attacking uncap rule, no soloing rule i think its pointless...and takes away from the game..

no rules like that, we have 1 very main rule. thats show respect to people and dont be a tard.
we only ask the very simple out of people in our servers (we have some in other games). so dont worry about getting banned cause you own a admin, n such we have a restrict recruitment of admins to our game servers.

The thing with Pr is that its so tedious just to play, everything takes too long to set up and blah... I just want a game where you can hop on and play VIA Vanilla.

as for the server, i say just try and populate it as much as you can. Tell people to invite people and so on. You might wanna throw in karkand to make some people happy.

i used to play prmm good mod, but iv had servers on it. but looking toward Vbf2.

As said above in a combination of replies, the best servers have all maps within the rotation with minimal rules.

I will never understand why people place so many rules on an online server. The more rules you have as an admin, the more time you are in your BFCC tools warning/kicking/banning people who aren't following your rules. It simply takes away the admins gaming time.

The only rules I like to see on a server are; no purposeful teamkilling, commanders do not pilot vehicles and no racial slurs or comments. Other than that its fair game. I play by an added rule of no spawn rapping the uncaps until all other flags are captured, but the server doesn't require that rule for me to wish to play that way.

I also prefer to play on servers that switch sides after each round and only have two rounds per map. I like the variety.
