Data from the Weapons Chart thread in TBF2 forums by [DUCKS]Black_Duck_1 ...

... its from his BF2 Weapons Chart

The table is meant to be a summary of factors to be used in calculating the damage in conjunction with his damage chart.

      So the M24 & L96 have a base damage of 95, which is reduced by bodyarmor to 62.7 (0.66 x 95).
The M95 has a base damage of 190. It always does 0.5 damage regardless of bodyarmor. Or in other words 95 damage (0.5 x 190).

But the asterisk on the M95 (not explained in the table) was there in the original data to indicate that damage relates to the rifle's ability to penetrate windscreens. That damage isn't applicable to fleshy targets.

What 'original data' are you referring to? Black_Duck's data comes direct from the game files. Look at the material modifier chart Jemme101 posted. Every projectile and every object in the game that can be damaged has a material type and cross-referencing the two tells you how the base damage is modified. The 0.5 modifier for .50cal bullets applies to the human torso or the body-armored human torso. Vehicle glass is yet another material type with its own modifiers versus various projectiles.
