yeah more watt PSU will be perfect...along with better videocard. Thats only 2 things.

i just put another fan in my tower to cool my card off dont plan on taking it out when i upgrade to a newer card, plus my aunt is sending me another 512, so is 1.5 pretty decent?

Your CPU is fine!!!
1) Go with a 550W PSU (make sure you have at least 20 amps across the 12V Rail)
2) 2GB RAM (preferably 2 - 1 GB sticks {matched twins best})
3) 7950GTX GPU (they have dropped way down since the 8800 came out)

It depends on how many FPS you want. Your video card is better than mine(6600GT), and I can run BF2 on all high, 4x AA, 1024x768 @40FPS average. Well, I do have 2GB of ram. I think BF2 isn't as dependant on the video card.
