ok i wanted to get some feedback on my specs for my Gateway, plus i want to run BF2 smooth, right now im getting alot of chopp and i guess lag here is what i have


GateWay AMD 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core
1024MB RAM
Nvidia 7300 GS PCIe
350 Watt Antec dual fan PSU
Windows XP Pro
SoundBlaster Audigy SE
17" Monitor
5mps Internet Connection


is there anything i need to do to make it better or is it good how it is? Or is my computer Junk lol

well yea i was thinking about it but i also wanna know if there is anything else i need for my computer or if what i have is powerful enough, i know alot about comps but i still like advice because some one always knows more then what you think you know yourself.

along with a video card, maybe get at least 512mb more of ram

what MatDef said mate, go for the PSU first, I don't think that one cuts the mustard.
Make sure you get one thats PCIe certified (ie its got the leads for the PCIe card). My PSU is a Jeantech ARCTIC 600W, model number: JN120F-600-AP12V 2 and is excellent, you only plug the leads into the PSU that you need, so you don't have lots of leads hanging around in your case doing nothing. Look it up mate and get something similar for starters because 350Watts might be starving your graphics card which could cause the choppiness :)

yeah you do need a new card 350w is not going to be good go fro 500w or more then a nice graphics card like the ati x1950pro its a good price as well ill get one myself when i have the monney i have an gto2 x800 at the moment clocked at 550 core 615 memory, for 400/500 standard

also don't get a crap PSU, If you chose a non maked one you may either fry your computer or it will not run at the required speeds hence u will be losing performance. If you want a decent one go for any of these makes..akasa, ocz, coolermaster, hiper, tagan, antec

I think 350 Antec can handle 7600GT well with this setup.
