Can someone help my friend?

My friend doesnt have a account here so on aim I told him to say what he needed. This is what he said:
Hello, i just installed a new 600 watt apevia PSU, 160gb western digital hardrive, and a new wireless card......but for some reason my computer doesnt start. the power switch is plugged in power to the psu to the hardrives, cd drive, video card all of that i checked and re checked what could it be?

could be a silly addition but did he plug it into his motherboard, usually theirs 2 power cables to connect
