I highly doubt anyone could go 40-0 regularly as a sniper with UAV and all.

Me saying how good I am with SVD it is to tell poeple not to make those dumb 3 shot kills with it. IT gets SO annoying to have a sniper in your team who doesn't know how to aim. Or a support who only nade spams...!

      EDIT; Engy has Armor!

EDIT AGAIN; Do all guns do 1 headshot = kill? Because with some guns at 60 ping it seems to take a half second for it to register. And maybe he was at low health.

EDIT AGAIN AGAIN; Wow PTG, I get that all the time..I bet every1 else on this forum does too, boy some people can't take getting killed.

Maybe on servers that are not maxed out with players, but you would still need a helping hand with a nade or clay to get there.

E-penis = One's Ego over the internet (Urban Dictionary ).

If you can post a movie here where you constantly headshot in a round without editing I will believe you. But past and present experience tells me that nobody in this game has done it and that includes the best Snipers in the game. Most of whom I know via the nets.

The Engineer Kit has NO Armor. Source: Wiki.bf2s.com - classes/

Not all the weapons have the 1 headshot - kill capacity. The head can take 100 damage (assuming the person was at full health). A headshot counts as triple the base damage of the weapon. So a weapon needs to do at least 34 damage per round fired to get a kill via a headshot. Check the chart for what weapons does which damage; BF2 Weapons Chart - [DUCKS]Black_Duck_1

Sure I'd love to make a movie!!!!!!!!

I have windows movie maker...how do I use it? The instructions are all in french.

And is FRAPS good? I've heard it is, but that it makes you lag, if I lag I can't make headshots...so what program is best?

EDIT; Sorry I thought Engy had armor.

EDIT again; What music would people like to hear? With a sniper SVD movie?

EDIT again again; I didn't say I could make 10 headshot kills with it, I said I could make at least nine kills with one magazine.

The Snipers that I know of make movies using Fraps and Las Vegas Studio or something. Dont ask me for A How To because I dont make Vids. Ask the WOoKie's like dont_be_ss for intel on movies.

And just to round of this one ... your Sniper Rifle Accuracy up to this point is 42.24%. Thats even lower than my own original account. And I never get 100% hits in a round. Let alone 100% headshots. And I dont even consider myself to be that good at Sniping in the first place. I just prefer it over the other classes.

                Re: Sniper Stats

Maybe you should hear this, and I think you did the same:

Now I have been playing BF2 for a while now...3 months?

But before I have played many FPS games...which I will not mention unless some1 wants to know.

So as with EVERY new FPS game, there are new things to learn and master to be good.

As I started playing bf2 I was introduced to new thingys..such as bunnyhoping, spawnraping, dolphin diving, and more...

So it took me awhile to get good at this game, and at first my rounds would be like 12/20 or 13/32.

                Now it's average..(the last three days) 46/ 8 or 12

So I am slowly getting my BF2 stats up...does that explain, I realy don't like how your trying to prove I'm a fake, keep going if you want me to prove more things...do it to soem1 who has less then 100 hours playing ok?

And I will make a video of 1 whole round without editing..I will tell you what parts to skip too, since a round is usually 45 minutes, and I realy dont think any1 wants to see a vid of me playing that long. And you don't want to see the deaths, period of time without kills, etc....

Do you have any more questions?

EDIT; Jemme101, how can I see your stats? The stats thing near the profile don't work?

EDIT again; "About headshots" What you said after is very true..notice I said I hit head 9/10..not 10/10...that is nearly impossibly unless you make perfect shots...and you might get killed alot.

EDIT again again; And I think it realy depends on the map, Karkand I can't realy get good headshots...dono why...when I snipe its jalalalalalalalabad. Now that is where the sniping is!

                  Re: Sniper Stats

I consider myself a "seasoned" veteran sniper but I still don't feel I'm good enough. My K/D isn't very good because I don't sit and wait at the edge of the map for that once-per-15-minute perfect shot... I move in with a squad and cover them and as a result am often killed. I consider myself more of an assault sniper because I am usually just behind the front line firing on enemy positions.

My overall sniper K/D is 1.5:1 w/ 137 hrs... just over 100 hrs w/ sniper rifle and just under 50% accuracy. I received my expert sniper badge back in August. The thing about stats is that it really doesn't tell the true story at all... I have found lately my accuracy dropping because I've been taking more difficult shots. I've also just been taking MORE shots because I dont' overly care about stats... look at it this way, most of the time you're going to die before firing your last bullet. Every time that happens, you've wasted bullets that could have been fired at the enemy. If I happen to decide to spawn w/ the M95, I"m going to take potshots at jets, helicopters, jeeps, etc. Every little bit helps the team but thats not going to help my stats much... Also, when waiting @ wake for a heli or whatever, who doesn't goof off and fire shots into the air or whatever? I know I do. All these things affect accuracy.

The thing is, even though my statistical accuracy is dropping, my true accuracy is likely rising as I am learning to fire on more difficult moving targets. Not to mention, many of us are using accounts we created on day 1. The first 10-30hrs were spent learning and... missing a lot as we learned the physics engine of a new game.

Translated Reader's Digest: Although my stats would not allude to it, I think I'm a pretty decent sniper and rarely do I miss within 250m. 25% of my total kills were made with the sniper rifle. 40% of my total kills were made as a sniper. 63% of my sniper kills were made with the sniper rifle itself (I'm all for the rifle-pistol combo). Also, according to bf2stats.nl, I'm ranked #11221 w/ the sniper rifle. While that means there are 11,220 people better than I am with it, I am better than 203,221 snipers out there (using #s from bf2s.com). That puts me in the 95th percentile of snipers... to crunch some #s for ya...

Eh ... what do you mean by wasting bullets?

Actually any round fired at a vehicle, excluding Armor (Tanks/APC) and AntiAir (not sure), you will notice the yellow X in the center of your reticle. This means a Hit and a Hit will be counted towards your total for Accuracy. I know this for sure because some guys pad their Accuracy that way.

By "wasting bullets" I mean there is no point in dying until you've spent every round you can. You've got 'em... there's no limited supply... might as well fire them. Snipers like to talk about their accuracy being high. I'm saying that my accuracy could be pretty high too if I only took the shots I knew I could make... but I don't. I fire on things I'm relatively certain I'm going to miss because there's that slim chance I might shoot the pilot out of that jet that's diving at the base I'm standing at. Chances are good I'll hit the plane but most people wouldn't even take that shot... My point, I guess, would be there's little point in conserving your ammo as a sniper. You typically will be killed before firing ~50-60 rounds. If you're not conserving ammo, chances are you're losing accuracy but who gives a damn. No stat truly tells someone's accuracy. The only people who know my true accuracy (or anyone elses) are the guy I just killed and I.

Secondly, you're right about the hit detection on vehicles... I wasn't sure if that counted as part of your accuracy but now that I think about it, I don't see why it wouldn't... good point.

Ah ok I see the point you were trying to make :)

I will try to find out, or test myself, if a round fired at a mobile AA is also counted as a Hit.

Remember that stats should be taken 'tongue-in-cheek'. They're not the be-all, end-all of player ability and only tell part of the story.

Stats may not be the end-all, be-all of player ability.

However, one should not mock another's achievements. Getting a high accuracy, high kill/death ratio, with a decent kill rate is not easy. Thats why I respect Jemme.

I personally opt to Congratulate, because anything else would just seem like hate.

I'm working on my sniper KDR right now

still making up 4 my noob days when i just wanted to run around with a scope attached.

now I spawncamp...ALOT, usually with m95 I have so much fun wacthing 4 guy wait for j10 to spawn I dont shoot any of them until j10 spawns, once it does i shoot guy out of j10, and being j10 whores they are to obsessed with the j10 to notice eddyeddyd[m95]someunluckyj10whore so about 3/4 way through the bolt action reload the next guy is in the j10...BAM next guy...BAM usually after the third kill the j10 has enough power to take of the moment he gets in, same with chopper. Its really fun to take one clean headshot at guy waiting 4 vehicles, when they see its an m95 they dont get into the jet, theyll get in the chopper and turn it around but jet is off limits.

Ill get 5-10 kills before im found im gonna keep doing this to raise my KDR

                                nice thread
