Does a shot to someone's face or cheek register the same damage as a shot to the helmet? I assume the answer is yes, otherwise Insurgent and Rebel players would be easier to kill for their lack of helmets.

yes because when i shot womeones helmet as sniper they die.

a headshot would be a shot to the head yes? is you chin/cheek anywhere near you head? yes, thus its is correct :)

He was asking if the helmet made any difference with whether or not its a one shot kill. (I assume)

I'm not trying to be one of the people who complains about every little thing that is not perfectly realistic... it just seems like a helmet should make a difference.

@aliask: from the way i read his first post its a case of wether or not the face/cheek does the same damage as a shot to the helmet, so my reply just explains how both are part of the head thus same damage. i was just sarcastic in my answer because i've had one of them days


@cutlass: the chance of a helmet stopping a direct shot from a gun i do believe is quite slim, it would i guess prevent IRL the damage cuased by debris or shrapnel

I use an M95 which has armor piercing bullets so even if the Helmet were to come into play with normal bullets (which it doesn't) you would have no problem with headshots with this beast of a gun!!

helmets in real life should be able to stop some bulletslike pistol rounds and maybe some bigger bullets if lucky

A Kevlar helmet will deny a 9mm and 5.56 round. A 7.62 round will penetrate easily depending on the range.

LOL!

I think it's a good question and my guess/experience is that if you hit the very top of the helmet you kill the guy for sure.
If you hit the face you might not.

I'm not a 1337-SniP3R so I can ofcourse be wrong.
