Mods and ranked servers

So if I understand correctly you can not played on a ranked server with a mod.... assuming that is true then is it somehow possible to do both? Some of the mods look very interesting but I am also enjoying the ranking and would like to continue doing that...

mods can not be ranked but some have an alternate ranking system where your stats from playing that mod are recorded

you can not add to your vanilla bf2 stats playing on mods

but you can play on alternative ranked servers such as http://www.bfstats.info/servers.php

you can play vanilla/poe2/pr/others and it will and to there ranks/stats

Poe 2 also has there own stats system http://www.pointofexistence.com/

None of the major mods will affect your ability to play vanilla BF2 on ranked servers. They install to their own directory in Battlefield 2\mods and don't change any BF2 files.
