Needing advice..

Ok I unistalled special forces, since doing this I cannot play the two bf2 booster packs euro forces or armored fury, I get this message "This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of battlefield 2 to the current offical version to join"

What does this mean, I have no unofficial mods installed, I cannot reistall the two booster packs as I delted the ea link cache so in Ea link beside both ea forces & armored fury it just says "ready to play"

Please help

I would just try re-installing the current bf2 patch and see if that works

I also have a problem like that but in EA links it says i need to purchase it when i already have purchased SF+EF+AF. there is no way in hell i will pay for them again.

uninstall EA links which will uninstall both of them

Well I have SF,AF,EF all on my computer and I have no problems with them at all try running the lattest patch again.

You have to register at the EA website. Usually takes a few hours to process.


If you used the search function you would know this already. Look at post 4 <- Click




If that doesn't fix it, then..I dunno.

Ok I unistalled EA link, then re-installed, but it still says SF, EF & AF are "ready to play" only difference its cleared them from my cache

hmm only thing i can suggest is try to manunaly uninstall bf2 completly and reinstall it but im not sure if that would work its probably EA's crappy handeling of their download service

I re-installed special forces & that works fine, as does vanilla, it's just the two booster pack maps that I get the "This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of battlefield 2 to the current offical version to join" message

probably repeating what's been said already but the foolproof way of installing BF2 I have found is..
Uninstall the game and everything to do with it, apart from your patches, mods etc..Then install in this order.
1- Battlefield 2
2- Special Forces (installer will update to 1.2 automatically)
3- Patch 1.41
4- Euro Forces
5- Armoured Fury
6- Patch 1.41 again.
and don't bother with the incrimental, download the full 1.41 patch.
