POE vs PR

Being a weekend "vanilla" warrior, as you guys like to call BF2, I have little knowledge of POE or PR. I just returned to the totalbf2 server after a long hiatus, and discovered a threat about Project Reality. It sounds interesting. One of my clan buddies told me that POE is the same thing as PR. Is it? I didn't think so. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

If they are different animals, which one do you play, and why? Or do you play both.

Well pr is the most played mod right now with many servers to choose to play on,i prefer tactical gamer,poe i havent played in a long time and i heard the fan base is a little weaker than what it used to be and that there isnt many servers for it.poe is a good vanilla styled game but due to small fanbase might be hard to find a server.Project reality is a totally differetn playing style i suggest u check out their site at www.realitymod.com

Give both a try, I might be a little biased but both mods are really good. Also there are more great mods coming out soon and I hope that you try them as well. So much hard work goes into these mods, so please check them all out.

yep, both mods are very diffrent and it is worth giving both mods a try, + all the other mods comming out soon and the other mods that are out

Its very simple. POE2 is basically Vanilla that actually works. If you want a greater Vanilla experience, with a sh!tload of variety to kick, check POE2.

If you prefer something completely different and very tactical, try PR.

I was more impressed with POE2, than PR, but thats because I get all my tactical needs from other tactical sims.

Yeah Chris has it right.

PoE2 is like the game that BF2 should have been... much more polished than BF2, much better design. Game Play is a very nice evolution over vBF2.

PR is er.. more along the lines of ArmA or AA .. quite a different game than BF2 in many ways. It can be really confusing if you don't browse through the player guide wiki a bit. And er.. it's not as polished as it could be because we've hacked up BF2 so much that stuff we are trying was never meant to be done with BF2.

There are also some excellent released mods like OPK and USI. Both of those mods have new releases imminent as do EoD and DCON and a few others.

The next couple of months are really going to give BF2 players some great options for FREE "booster packs" (mods). I'd encourage everybody to try out the mods.. come on... there are no unlocks left worth getting

I have both, both are great, but personally PR wins, its just better in my opinion, but not putting down Poe, because its great too!

Both PR and PoE are great mods, and should both be tried.. They each offer something different.

i personally prefer PR, but PR is not for everyone. its pretty realistic and ive heard alot of ppl get bored of getting killed so quickly, but if u learn how to play and get into a good server, its a lot of fun

na, can never remember of the name of the guy who did make it but he also made Compton and a buch of other maps :)

I would play PR WAY more but I hate bad communitcation...(no headset)...but in a squaf that uses one Im better

Download, play, and support the devs of both!

lol its funny wen i see threads for both mods. lol its like people wanna get the devs to go to war with eachother lol but ya thier both differnt one takes a super realistic and one takes bf2 into a differnt area of teh world. both are great! its nice to shoot somone in both mods. and they die. no bs.=)
