Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
ive seen it on a couple servers now. sometimes i like it sometimes i think its retarded. mostly the latter , only once when i was planning on sniping did i think it was good b/c i knew they wouldnt spot me out.
Very retarded, although its a big shame to see many more servers enforcing this rule. Back in 2006 before I quit there were none of these. Last night and the night before about 5% of servers I went on had this dumb rule!!!
Commander is a pretty cool feature and everything but I will agree that it has some issues but it wouldn't really take much to fix it up. The only thing I really hate about commander is the scan ability it kills allot of the strategy that can take place I think it should either be removed or it should just detect all players on the map not just enemy players scan really just helps bottleneck maps and keeps people from thinking of creative ways to attack positions not to mention reality wise its pretty retarded. I'd also maybe double the refresh time of Arty
Exactly, couldn't have said it better myself. I always disliked the commander position since the game was released.
Any commander that can sit and eat his dinner while playing obviously isn't doing well enough a job. Scan's refresh very quick, and pointing out key enemy units outside of UAV can keep you very busy. Also a good game with decent players will yeild the commander request for all of his abilities very often. I agree it should be optional though.
yea too bad 90% of the players out there will chastise anyone who commands and fights simultaneously. I was commanding the other day and rolling around in an LAV racking up kills. Deploying the UAV, Arty, and requests accordingly. Not to mention we won by over 100 pts. Yet 3 or 4 different players started mutinies simply because I wasn't holed up somewhere doing nothing but commanding. Gotta love ignorance.

They're ignorant.
If you're skilled enough to do it without ignoring your commander duties, they should have absolutely no qualms with what you do.
You should be given a medal, I'd love to have people like you as a Commander.
I doubt it's a violation of the ROE. I only say this because I've seen the ROE's vagueness twisted to fit just about any admin created rule.
As far as an adminstered rule goes, it's not a bad one.
All this other crap about UCB's and leaping and hopping, is nearly impossible to enforce. Most of the rules with a few troublemakers can quickly spiral into "he said, she said' situations. There's always the wise *** who attempt to skirt the gray areas of those rules. Snipe into the UCB. Spec Ops then fight and claim they were attacked. The squabbles can be endless and disruptive.
At least this rule is easy and fair for both sides. No commanding. Done. It's about the only rule I've seen created that at least can be enforced. That's what makes it a good rule, disagree with it or not, at least it can be enforced fairly and not used for bias.
I encourage no commanding in small games. When you've got an 8 on 8 going, and the commander can spot nearly everyone and arty them in the only fire fight your having on the entire map, it's sort of stupid. Then you've got 2 commanders raining terror down on the other players. There's not really enough people to got spec ops and take out assets, you'd be down to nearly nobody actually doing the fighting.
