Start up problem

OK BF2 newb here, i just bought the game the other day and i get a problem which you can see below.

Ok, i have installed the patch and everyting and when i went to start my game by clicking the BF2 icon it gave me an error saying.

"Please ensure Battlefield 2 install disc is in the drive, select OK and restart the application." and here's a screenie below.



Can anybody tell me what this means and how can i fix it.

its a fairly simple one, it means you have to have the disc in the drive to run the game

Come on mate, i'm not that stupid. I have the game in the drive when i click to play the game and that message still comes up.

well it aint reading it, do you have the DVD version of CD version?? if CD do you have the correct disc in the drive

Also, check it for dirt and scratches.

If you put the disk in the drive, is it readable?

i've got this problem too and its with the DVD version. how is it that it lets me go through the whole damn installation process but when i want to play it suddenly doest read the DVD??

I too have this issue. I am running WinXP, the DVD is undamaged, and the DVD drive has been tested and is working fine.

Make/download a CD/DVD image so you don't have to run it with the disc. See here:
