Router problem

I have several long distance mates who play bf2, so we decided to play together using "create Server" I can join my mates server easily but both have poor pc's/broadband compared to me & we lag badly, problem is when I create a server they cannot join it..
I have a Netgear DG834 router connecting two pc's I have checked several forums etc & have opened as many ports as possible, setting default DMZ server to enabled, disabling port scan.. but still they get network error trying to connect to my server, I give them the correct IP address & password but no joy, my two pc's have same IP except the last digit where one ends .1 other .2

can anyone help?

Set your PC as part of the DMZ and CHECK IF IT IS BLOCKED BY SOFTWARE. Most software firewalls need configuring and any that don't I suggest you ditch ASAP.
