The Devs have ruined this great mod

With all due respect, this great mod has become unplayable in recent times. Look at their forums and see the admins asking why the server population has dropped by hundreds in a single day!

My biggest gripe is that i cant play this game without the infamous "There is a problem with your connection". This is a server problem and has nothing to do with my connection, im talking on skype crystal clear with team-mates when it happens. They have introduced new features in .5 that overwhelm servers. Dozens of rally points, hundreds of kit requests per game (literally 2 every second), poor game physics (the recoil is random to where the bullets land), they re-introduced vanilla type game play with this new version.
LAG, incase i didnt mention it, ALL MAPS LAG and its server lag because my fps never drops below 60. Well done, BRAVO

My question is, who is the retard who suggested these useless new features that have taken the fun out of this mod? Eggman?
Soon all but a hardcore dozen players will stop playing this garbage and the Devs will have wasted a great chance to make it in business. Wake up, mods like these are about capturing the public imagination unless you want to remain in the shadows. I wish another mod can come out and teach them a lesson. I rate .5 as garbage. You ruined it cuz ur thick, you have a bunch of tailwaggers who are scared to criticize and you end up making crap

TBH, the kit request system wasn't ideal. The previous was better. For the sake of gameplay, let everyone fly, not just the people who can rush to a flag and get a pilot kit and end up waiting half the round for a chopper/jet.

Then your points lost all traces of validity.

The devs are aware the current build has issues - so has every previous build which has been released. The next build, v0.6, is going to include more gameplay additions and changes as opposed to content (ie; maps, weapons, vehicles) - new content will come in v0.7.

You can be as disrespectful and rude as you wish - that is your perogative, but in the end, you come out looking disrespectful.

I can only suggest that you uninstall the mod and stop playing - everybody wins.

I'm hoping this post is simply a culmative of frustration, because I hope to god you are only this rude and disrespectful on the internet.

Fun is subjective.

The majority of the player base enjoys the new features. Of course, as can be expected, there is a very vocal minority, like yourself, who piss and moan about things that will be addressed.

the reason the player count dropped by so much was cos on that day, EA's account servers broke down, not letting any users log into there accounts. if they where already logged in before the servers went down they where fine, but if they logged out, and tried to log back in again or just was there first time logging in again since the servers went down, they where not able to. as soon as the servers where back up player stats went back to normal of around peak time of 1k :)

it would apear to me that you really do not have much idea what this mod is about, when did you started playing, v0.4?

if so v0.4 had alot of bugs, espicaly with the hand weapons (M4 had like 0 recoil). the recoil was turned back to what it was like in v0.3 and before which is much more realistic, you bulliet goes excatly where you aim, but if you hold down your trigger in full auto you can expect your bulliets to go all over the place due to the recoil the gun produces, like in real life. Why do you think they train SAW gunners in real life to fire in short bursts? it is too keep there accruacy up and this is still the same ingame, if you fire the SAW in short bursts you will find it much easier to hit your target.

If you are engaing a target at long range with an assault rifle, use the semi auto mode. why do you think rifles have semi auto in the first place? think its just there for the hell of it? no it is there to control your fire.

there is alot you need to learn about this mod it would seem.

this mod is going downhill because the devs are surrounded by a bunch of YES MEN like you. even if they sacrifice and go to great lengths to produce a mod, that doesnt give them a right to be shielded from criticism. if it sucks, it sucks even if they spent a life on it. if i was a tester id tell them straight in the face

Like I said, fun is subjective.

Obviously, what you find fun differs from what the majority of PR players do.

Criticism is fine - it needs to be constructive though. Your criticism is not.

Ever think that the majroty of people may enjoy the additions and change instead of simply being 'yes men'?

In all honesty, when 0.5 came out, i thought it was horrible. I couldn't load any map with CTD, but it seems to have settled and has become an enjoyable gaming experience. Hell, it even got The Sir. Community playing something other than sandbox, so it must be good.

I do think their are some issues with the lag still, but take a look at vanilla bf2 or Northern Strike for 2142 and it's the same.

The maps, are amazing. The guys with mushroom heads look funny as hell, and i have to thank PR for making me play with the G3. I hated that gun in Ranked Vanilla before, but now, I use it all the time.

Anyways, in future, choose your post title carefully, so it does make you seem like a retard.

wish we had stats for individiual players playing our mod but over the past 24hrs, there has been an avrage of 400 players constnaly playing our mod who do not think that we have done a sucky job, or they would not be playing it :p

PR is a very aquired taste, if you like realisum, you love PR, if you like the arcady bunny hopping etc, you love vbf2. Every one is entilted to love diffrent things but like Garabaldi said, your critisum is not constructive and is not going to achive anything what so ever.

If you wanted to give us some construcive cirtisum then you would say that you do not like the changes, and point out the areas that you would like to be changed. then we could consider changing them. But going "your mod sucks" is like me saying "your face sucks".

Yup, it was me who ruined it.

You have no clue on server populations. v0.5 is the most played version of PR and the most played of any BF2 mods. Realistically and intentionally PR should be a very niche mod with a relatively small but hardcore player population. I am looking forward to other mods releasing, not only so I can play them but so folks like you have more options around what to do with your time than making useless inflammatory posts.

PR is trying some different stuff, that level of innovation and deviation from the base engine capabilities and intended moddability can have some drawbacks and pitfalls. Performance issues have been one of them.

Dam you eggman!! Dam you to the very bowels of HADES!!! (Just kidding, I don't even know you) What I do know is this.... I am playing the heck out of .5 and loving it. I occasionally lose connection, but it sounds like the developers are aware of this and hopefully it will be addressed in a future release. Other than that I think the game is amazing and I am thankful to the team who has worked so hard to build this FREE mod.

To the OP... you have the tact of a rhinosaurus. Perhaps it is a genetic issue, I won't speculate. However to come in guns blazing, calling people RETARDS for christs sake (do you realize how offensive that term is?), is not exactly a very constructive approach. Do you work? Do you work in an environment where people in meetings freak out and each other retards etc.? Perhaps if you are so fixated on YOUR ideal mod to succeed you might want to build your own, and address all of these issues you have.... Oh, you wouldn't know where to start would you?? THEN STFU!!! (or at least try to communicate with others as you would have them communicate with you).
