i prefer if they all were urban combat maps like karkand,Jala,mashttur, it will make it more intense as to if we all fighted on a biga$$ map. But thats just my opinion though

I think a mix of air and ground maps is better

and I would hope people remember this is for fun, egos should be left on the ranked servers.

Play as a team instead of points or KDR, you would be amazed how much better it is.

oh im a jet pilot btw, cant fly helicopters if my pet fish's life depended on it. so its around midnight, this saturday and sunday, 12:00 central which is 1:00 eastern where i live, right?

yes. I dont know how we are going to jets as alot of people are going to want to fly it will probably be done by rotation like these people are the pilots for this round and these are the pilots for next.

Also i think we should start putting people into squads or letting people form squads.

i dont have a lot of experience as squad leader, but when i am one im pretty decent, i dont rush in like a jackass. Ill sign up as a SL, you can maybe start a list for that too?

N2k, since were organizing the teams according to stats and skill level, i think it would be better to switch teams... also, i think we should give our squads custom names so it would be easy to distinguish, and people will co-operate better.

I can be a squad leader, I am not the best but I do win on Karkand as USMC when everyone tried to rush the nade-spam fest.

I think I'm going to stay in ground, my ping doesn't allow smooth flying. ( I could try helo pilotting though if there is pilot shortage)

If there are still commander positions available, I could be one for few rounds. I could also be a squad leader.

People, have you used Advanced Tactical Center for BF2? That is a small program allowing a group of people to plan their tactics on each map. It's worth of checking. I don't know if people want to play according some tactics but I would like to discuss about this with our team before entering the battle. We could make some plans and few variations for those at least for some maps.

I have ATC but not on this comp. I dont have any BF2 stuff on this comp so its hard for me to do anything.

Yeah, can only play sunday also. Hopefully the wife will not give me a bunch of grief about it.

I think I am going to stick to the ground and play assault.

As for maps, I understand there are going to be some that just want to play the standard karkand/Mash/Jbad style maps, but because this community is comprised of some specialties (personalities), it might be best to have maps that allow for air people to really 'play with themselves' I am sure both teams will have quality players that will keep the all the air people occupied and off the asses of ground people.

My favorite vanilla map is Sharqi (know it better then my backyard), but because it does not have jets, I almost want to disqualify it. But the maps we are looking at, are pretty good for those that want ground.

It might be good just to spice it up some with more Infantry Oriented style maps...but I am not going to sit here and advocate that we screw over other players that only can handle a joystick. But, if the pilots in this thread are cool with it, I would opt for Mashtuur over JBad and Karkand. Reason being? There are several hundred SAK/JBad 24/7 servers. The seasoned players on this thread know those maps inside and out, but going with the esoteric maps like Daqing and Fushe will help level the playing field. Hell, Zatar is on the table, though it is not the best infantry map.

I too would really like to get out on foot though, because that is where we are going to test the reflexes of our community members, so hopefully, we can get some maps here that provide a balance. BTW, how many people here have boosters?

i have all the boosters, but lets not get things complicated...i mean thers 40 people, how many show up? how many of those that show up have boosters? its just cutting it short.

i wouldn't mind doing infantry, a little dusting off and im there. could we do like: karkand, fushe, jbad, oman, mashtuur, dalian, wake. Or something similar, every other map is infantry so it spices things up.
