headphones not working

Hi,some may think this a dumb question but I can't get my Sennheiser 151 headphones to work.I've lost any paperwork that came with them.I've tried putting them in the same color plugs in my sound card but my speakers keep working and nothing at all from the headphones.Do i have to enable them somewhere?I've e-mailed Sennheiser but I get no answer from them.I sure would like to get them working,it would make the game even better if I could talk to my squad

I also should add that I'm a dope.I just found the box they came in and their PC 155 usb headphones.I found the usb addapter in the box hooked it up and it works just fine.I had ,about a year ago,been using them through my soundcard but this time something was'nt right.Oh well they work.Talking to your squad makes the game much better.Plus I did'nt get any answers to my question in here,musta been too hard a question huh ?
