    Memtest86+

Download an image and "burn" it to a USB Flash drive, reboot and boot from it and see what happens.

I was getting that message for about 4 weeks and then on saturday my motherboard died on me, it would switch on and turn back off again within 2 seconds, just rmaed it through my uk supplier who has also tested the board and agreed that it is dead

I have the same ram, tested all my other components in another rig and all is well. Hope this does not happen to you m8

Here is a overclocking guide which tells you how to set your e6600 conroe and memory on that board

I would reset your cmos and follow the guide below

                          1) Do the Memtest (rule out problems with RAM sticks)
                          2) Turn off Auto
                          3) Clear CMOS
                          4) Manually Set Latency in Bios (you should find the guide to your RAM to see what settings you can get away with to avoid the BSOD)
                          5) Do your RAM sticks have heat sheilds or sinks? If your system is overheating that will cause MEM Crashes too (I found out the hard way....now I have 7 fans in my case...lol)

                          Good Luck

Thx for the replies Samalrlian , i have over clocked frequently to this above recipe and have had it running at 3.2Ghz very easily. With that said i always get a BSOD and revert back to stock settings .

Im not sure what is going on here but my suggestions are 2 fold

                            1. Vista 64 Bit home premium is just not upto overclocking yet ?
                            2. I need to fiddle with some MEM timings of which i have no clue what to do at all .

Im seriuosly thiking of a turtle back to XP pro at the mo ?

Getting exactly the same error as you and I have practically the same set-up. New Nvidia drivers out this week, hopefully the problem will get sorted.
