No, Punkbuster did not. An admin used a punkbuster feature to take a screen shot and reported it to punkSbusted, a separate entity that only comprimises of about, maybe, 15% of the ranked servers out there. Punksbusted and Punkbuster are 2 different things.

I have issues with that system cuz I got "punksbusted" for something I didn't do, but it hasn't stopped me from playing.

Wierd. I KNOW I just replied to this thread, but its no where to be found.....

Anyway, yea, I know the evidence makes me look guilty. But i'm not here to prove my innocence. I could really care less. I'm just trying to say that not everyone on that Punksbusted list is guilty. Sometimes they make a mistake. They ignored my appeal, my clan abandoned me (well, the upper upper upper senior staff in an 800 person clan did, not my friends, they stood behind me). So, that's my problem with them. Besides, if I was really guilty, would I be freakin' posting about it here? I'm not stupid.

PB does not ban for screenshots either. And reasons are pretty obvious. Most likely he's guilty, but one can never be sure. It is sure that there are players on that list who have nothing to do with cheating. It's impossible to say whether they're there accidentally or not.

I've been wondering how it is possbile to keep tracking GUIDs globally and saving all IP's, nicks and times without any agreement with the user. If you want to really piss someone off, get his GUID on the PsB list and all his nicks and IP's will be visible to public and so on. Whole thing as great as it is stinks because they're battling cheaters just like it'd be heroism and you get pretty much honoured by the amount of chater you've "busted". Ah, just take a look through PsB forums, admin or not, and you'll be either laughing or crying.

Last time I played I didn't see players running around neon blue nor can I see as far on Oman with Gemotry high and view distance 100%

They always deny everything right to the bitter end, don't they? Until they get absolutely nailed with irrefutable proof, they will act all victimized and mistreated because they were accused...

Every cheater that has been caught is always "I swear! I don't cheat! I can't believe you guys think that! I'm just good! This is not fair! You can't ban me just because I'm good!", etc.

The problem with this, is that many people will believe them, and server admins don't pursue any ways of verifying if they do or not.

I'm really mad that EA has not included first person spectator modes in the game. From a 3rd person standpoint, it is so hard to see what someone is looking at, or if those 'jerky' movements are natural or not, since the camera delays moving with the player.

When I notice a player I suspect of having wallhacks spotting thru buildings somehow (clever guy), the camera angle doesn't allow me the angle to see if this is the case. Also, the game does not allow me to view the UAV to see if he actually can see that guy creeping up behind him, or if his wallhacks allowed him to...

I've accused, and verified many a cheater in my days of online gaming, and there have only been a few that I was wrong about ( then a couple ended up they were cheating anyway - after I apologized!!!!!). BF2 is the only game I've played where I'm not quite sure - even with the oddest behaviour occuring - because there are limited tools as a player I can use to investigate myself.

That's why I hate cheaters. They cause me to mistrust other players' skills just because they might be owning me up. I liked the old days, when I didn't even know there were cheats available - at least I could strive to improve myself and reach their skill level.

Really SirCyRo-iNT? You said we ignored your appeal? I don't have an appeal for this guid even registered in our ticket system. So how could you have appealed? Care to give me the appeal number in case I missed it in your records? I looked again...nope not there. I'd be happy to look at an appeal from you.

Yes Punkbuster made by Evenbalance.com is not Punksbusted.com (PsB). We are however the largest and most respected AC site on the net. We didn't get that way by doing the job poorly over the last 5 years. Check the league affiliates that also use our service. They trust PsB. We work closely with them all the time.

About the SS in the beginning of this thread. 5d3285f70db43ac8139e77ad51f17807 Over 70 admins voted on this SS. They are aware what SS blocker this one is based on. These shots were taken between Jun 16, 2006 and Jun 23, 2006 not just one day. No appeal was logged.

:laugh: Just so you and others know a little fact about PsB and PB SS's. When a server is streaming to PsB, every PB SS that is taken has an md5 hash that coresponds to it. This ensures that the PB SS has not been modified since it was taken. Therefore those PB SS's are 100% legit.
