recently iam getting the error
"There was an error connecting a socket"
How can i fix that #%$^

Never got that before, but the problem seems to be with your internet connection.
Try posting on tech support instead for better chances of help.
In your situation I'd uninstall/reinstall the game, reset and reconfigure my modem and hope for the best.

Fixed it by having a look at the win firewall
