Messed up my resolution...

Got a new widescreen monitor and I set the resolution in BF2 to 1400 x 1030 at 75hz or something like that.

Anyway, it messed up the graphics badly. I can't even see anything. How do I revert it back to what it was? I can't see anything when I run BF2 so I can't get to the options.

I have a new LCD monitor at 1440 x 900 resolution. What resolution in BF2 do I set it at? I have just the regular BF2 and none of the expansion packs.

O boy, I had the same problem one, I'm sure there's another way, but what I had to do is re-install Battlefield 2 or hook up your old monitor again and switch it back.

go to your profiles folder C:\Documents and Settings\Home\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles

open the profile that you changed the video settings on
then open the video.con file and change the line
VideoSettings.setResolution 1400x1030@75hz
to
VideoSettings.setResolution 800x600@75hz

If that dont work try right clicking on your BF2 startup icon
click properties and change the target line to
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 800 +szy 600 +restart 1

Well I really did waste my time back then, now I know an easyer way haha.

What size is your monitor?
If it's a 20" Wide, then run on 1680x1050.

If you use this method:

If that dont work try right clicking on your BF2 startup icon
click properties and change the target line to
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 800 +szy 600 +restart 1

But instead of 800 and 600 respectively use 1440 and 990 you may then be able to use the native res..I have no idea what this will look like though
