Is 1.41 the last BF2 patch?

I'm seriously thinking of starting playing some BF2 again, as I got a new X-Fi audio card. So I'm wondering, has BF2 seen its last patch?

Considering the horrible state of BF 2142 (which I played until a few months ago, was utterly disappointed), is EA even paying attention to BF2? Anyone here know anything about a possible patch in the future?

I just need something to kill time with until STALKER, Crysis and Quake Wars arrive :)

dont know no-one can tell the future and only Dice/EA have the answer, do you not think that all the other threads asking about patches and getting the same replys of " i dont know" would give you a HINT not to ask again....

Until Dice/EA give official word of anything it will be the same answer as all the other thread.. id rather not start the whole speculation threads again...

The only wise business decision they can make, is to make one patch fixing most of the issues addressed by the players.

2142 sure wasn't much of a success and there is nothing new coming up any time soon. They know that their rivals are just about launching their products and only thing preventing massive amount of players permanently (or at least for a long time) quiting BF series, is fixing their jewel. I know so many players who quit playing until their game is fixed and they are not coming back unless it's fixed. Those are the fellows saying no more EA, ever.

EA still can fix the situation or at least make it better, but not too long. When those games mentioned are in the market, it takes at least 4-5 years to get back what they will lost here.

I love BF2, but I did love Enemy Territory more. The reason is fluent game play.

Why isnt there a FAQ for people stickied at the top of the page?

We could list the top ones like..
1. whats the roll button?
2. why isnt my rank increasing?
3. were are my unlocks (L9-36E..spec forces ones)..
4. patch coming?
etc..
It also be nice for someone to write a complete Manual for the game with tips and such..
Like use "G" to pick up kits, hitting C on ladders changes view to see clays at top, how TV missle works, guiding AT missles, etc..

Funny you say that, I was talking with one of the people at DiCE on Saturday, and he is one of the team leads. He was totally and honest to God clueless if there was any directions that DiCE was going to take on BF2. He was like, man, I would love to do more work in BF2, but ATM, I have know idea what the executive management is going to do.

So, after 40 minutes of talking, I came away with, the same thing, it is all speculation. I also sent him the link over the EAUK forum suggestion thread too. We did not get to go over any of that stuff outlined (it was morning for him and bedtime for me). *sigh* I would love to know where things are going, because as for me, I am already going to TotalQuakeWars.

He was totally and honest to God clueless if there was any directions that DiCE was going to take on BF2. He was like, man, I would love to do more work in BF2, but ATM, I have know idea what the executive management is going to do.

there has been atleast 15 threads about this. all of which included a multitude of people saying NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

of course we would love one though. (or a reverse patch, setting the game back to its original awesomeness)
