Not even that, my friend. You get shot down before you get to the location.

The point is, the Blackhawks have no reliable offensive weapon. Even if a gunner sucks that bad with the TV, it is still possible to rocket/gun it down.

Jeez, really blackhawks are flying big target practicing cows.. Its slow, its ugly, its fat, and it cant fly for sh**.. TVing it is like using a machine gun for butter.

No, you gotta TV the thing. I hate when the gunner machine guns it, because the passenger all bail and then you have to track each of them down...

Kill all the unsuspecting passengers at once and it's done.

Don't forget the BH can be repaired in flight.

2 engineers cans out-repair a good AAA station.

But alas, the guns are friggen useless now.

hell IM a noob gunner and I think I only ever missed a BH once legitimately but I got it on the second TV missle, come to think of it every other time I missed is because either A) the TV missle went straight thru the doors which Ive seen happen many times to other folks too or B) my mouse battery died.....which has happened to me on more than one occasion, Signa can attest to that, switch the battery out and you can shout out "Blackhawk DOWN!!!"

I swear, some of the posters here are really nieve, and post thier most immediate thought without thinking. I mean, truely thinking.

First of all. The poster was saying have a blackhawk that is full. Most likely it'll have engineers in it. But his strategy starts out, first and foremost, with a good blackhawk pilot. All you guys that say, "I TV blawkhawks all day" are killing poor, or average blackhawk pilots at best. Good pilots, I mean, really good pilots, can do things you normally wouldn't see.

Let me say it in a way you can understand. Do you think MetallicaGuitarist is a good jet pilot? Sure you do, he's one of the better ones out there. OK, now.....take that concept and put it in a blackhawk. I know its hard for you to imagine.....But maybe there are players out there that just have a knack for flying the Blackhawk with the same skill level in it as MG has in the jet.

OK, thats the first requirement. 2nd reqirement is a good strategy. Not all strategies work on all maps. For Example, a BH can't be too stealthy on Weak Island. But the fog on Oman may help. Or Zatar Wetlands has a lot of open space. whatever. A good strategy is a 2nd main component.

3rd, an effective commander. The commander can communicate with the pilot, letting the pilot know of potential problems with jet pilots.

I have to agree that the BH can be a very effective weapon. I once took one up to 600m as a squad leader and dropped players off as a mobile spawn point. Stayed up in the air for 40min. My final score? 0 0 0 0 But I didn't care, I wanted the heli time and the win, which I got.

Also, don't forget that the BH is hallow. It has a big open door on each side. You don't know how many times I've seen a missle go in one door, and right out the other side, and BH flies away! A good pilot can possibly use that to his advantage.

Jesus Christ, why people's always so stubborn?

1st: That is ridiculous. If you shoot the BH with guns like the choppers', the passengers are killed before the chopper is destroyed. You can do that with any other guns (FAV's, jets, etc)

2nd: It doesn't matter how "stealthy" you are. Once you are spotted and the enemy has a half-decent helo crew or jet pilot you are going down. That thing is big and slow, the only map with fog enough for it to hide is Sharqi... But wait, there's no Blackhawks in Sharqi!

3rd: It doesn't take that long for a jet to cross the map. By the time you start to maneuver the BH to avoid a potential enemy, you are dead.

And I'm saying, people shoot down attack chopper aces doing whatever maneuvers. Even outrageously good AH pilots can't do much to avoid incoming TV's from even average gunners in a Blackhawk.

Anyone missing more than 1 TV missile against BH's is a noob.
I must have like 99% hit rate against Blackhawks doing whatever flips the pilot might want to make.

Missing one shot can depend on anything, like the gunner spilled his beer or whatever :laugh:... but missing a couple of shots is tragic, either the gunner had some terrible lag (I am talking about 2k+ ping) or he was blind or something .

But yes, there are surely very good BH pilots. But, even though the pilot is good, the BH is still slow. And even if the pilot is good, the BH is still extremly big.
Having a good pilot doesn't ensure you make it safely through chopper shots.

The only time I've ever missed a blackhawk was with the TV bug. Technically never. Missing a blackhawk with a TV takes more skill than hitting it.


About the BH, all they have to do is a) improve the bloody chainguns and b) make it fast, like in PR, and let it speed up to 600 easily. Also, the attack choppers too. It's very unrealistic to see an attack chopper going slower than a bloody car.

A regular helo is still large, and can be missed. A blackhawk is bigger but has a giant hole in it, so is it any easier to hit if it is RANDOMLY flipping and spinning?

I have an old video where a blooper was me missing a blackhawk, The TV goes right thru where the regular hitboxes are in a helo... so it can be missed

They were NOT noobs, I've played my share of rounds and put in my hours to know.

I'm not doing this to say I have mad blackhawk skills, but I bet I could dodge on average 2-3 TV missiles from ANY pilot before being taken down, like it or not, the blackhawk is capable of quite a bit.

Good in theory but your whole BH method doesn't work when theres a good pilot or heli crew on. I would 1 strafe kill the blackhawk and I would hit you every single time solo'n with the chopper.
