Got my veterans explosive badge? Here's how!

I never really go for badges. I am satisfied to just get them as they come. I have either expert or veteran for everything but I just happened to check out my stats the other day and was disturbed to see I just had a basic explosive (C4, AT Mine, Claymore) badge. (My only basic badge).

I decided to concentrate on getting the veteran badge. I tried everything I could think of for hours and hours with no results. I needed 20 kills in a round and could only muster an average of 15-17 kills with explosives because of the limited supply of ammo. (I should say that I am not in a clan and have no friends that play to resupply me.)

I joined a karkand (infantry only) game and became commander of the MEC. I was a sniper and climbed the building at the square. I dropped supplies on the building and just started spamming claymores. BOOM... Boom Boom BOOM... BOOM... Boom Boom BOOM...BOOM... Boom Boom BOOM...

Within a few minutes I had 25 claymore kills and yes my veterans badge.

If the game would have lasted another 5 minutes or so I could have gotten my expert. I may try this technique again and see if I get lucky. I know if I were playing against a good team, I would have never gotten away with it.

Love the weekends. All the noobs come out and offer up their selves for sacrifice for people to get badges.

Edit.... I should say that as commander, I knew when squads were coming for the flag. I didn't just spam claymores the whole game. lol

The only thing I am proud of mate, is that I figured out how to achieve my objective. How did you get yours?

Now how is it a bad hobby? He is technicly defending his flag as he was in the spawn area :] gj dude I never get lucky with claymores though, besides squads should be smart and have a medic with them, send in a gunner or asault or someone else first so they can follow and revive them, common sence goes along way with claymores. I just played a map, claymores at everyflag but the 3 man squad (2 other clan members) were smart enough to either go around the claymores and just not blow them up or let the supply go in first and just med him lol.

        Back to topic :-p GJ!

There's a way to cap square without being claywhored... jump ontop of the dustbin, jump at an angle onto the wall and hide in the tree, it rocks!!

I didn't think of that. I didn't realize that was the reason for people to do the jihaad jeep thing. I just thought that those people were morons. Now it all makes sense.

I got my EXPERT Explosives Badge on the SF Warlord map. Defending palace 2nd floor with claymores....35 kills from claymoring the doorway to the balcony and the stairs to the second floor. The palace is so tight that people run in groups of 3-5 and its great when you take out the whole group from 1 claymore. And the best thing is they keep coming back again and again. LOL

If you dont play on SF maps find the narrowest point that has to be entered like doorways on Sharqi TV station and keep setting up claymores.

                Good Luck
