Account server login

When i go to login to my online account, it takes forever and then the music stops and it starts loading a map to a server, it doesnt even let me pick what i want to do...

any guesses?

BF2 installed two shortcuts to your desktop.

1) Play BF2 Online Now!(pointless shortcut...so demanding, too)
and something like...
2) Play BF2, or just plain BF2.

Never click on shortcut 1. That's your problem here. Simply throw that shortcut in the recycle bin.

As said above...it appears to take forever cos the game is refreshing all servers and then selects one (presumably lowest ping) for you to play. It is a useless feature because it can take forever and then can join you in an unpopulated server...joy

your login takes too long probably because you have too many servers in your favorite section
and if any of them are red (in color)
it WILL take long
so . . .clean it up !
