climbing trees!!

first, this is prob old since the grappling hook has been in SF for a while, but i didnt find any threads about it, but i just had like an enlightment when i was playing with the grappling hook in PR, and i was thinking...(i forget wat map it was but it was chinese vs british and had a lot of trees) we're getting shot at and we're in teh forrest, wouldnt it be sweet to be able to climb up the tree and act as a watchout. so afterl ike 3 tries, i was able to hook the top of the tree and it actually worked. the watch out idea wasnt as great as i thogut, but yeah (ok thaat was just more of a rant, but its mainly for those who didnt kno about it

First of all, what flash? Second, you can't shoot while you are on the rope.

The Flash Muzzle from the Rifle barrel will give away your hiding location, don't people have common sense these day?

That is a brilliant idea, one which I am sure to employ in the future. Is there any solid ground which you can actually stand on up the top (thinking invisible floor and the like)?

Even so, it's a great place for a squad leader to hide should his teammates be taken out by an overwhelming force.

Maybe it is the tracer that some rifles fire that these guys are thinking of...

Fortunately the sniper and marksman rifles do not fire tracers.

there is no muzzle flash, but if u have dynamic lighting on, then area around u lights up if u fire ur weapon.

also, htere is no solid ground on top of hte trees, and i dont think u can sit on the branches (wish u could tho).

also, heres a tip. if u reach teh top by accident and u start falling, quickly press e to grab onto the rope again.

and question, why dont the usmc or british forces have grappling hooks
