Performance issues, with the game of course.

I have a GateWay MX6441 Laptop with an AMD Turion64, CPU speed 789MHz
with 1.58 GHz, 448 MB of Ram. I can only run BF2 on the Low setting with any kind of fluency. Is there anything I can do or buy to increase my performance, with the game of course. More RAM?

yeah def more ram. at least 1 gig

prob just get a new computer would be easiet....ur cpu speed is slow? im not sure (is that ocing?)

Also, what would be a good game that I could utilize with my capabilities, Other BattleField games I hope. Suggestions?

OK, so the requirements say Video Card must have 128 MB or more memory. Question, Can I make up for a lagging Video Card with more RAM? Thank you for replying

A little, but not enough that you'd notice. On the plus side, Ubuntu will fly on that lappy, even if blackhawks won't. :)

memory amount isnt everything? does ur video card have a name by any chance?

doesnt matter what card he has it a lappy, cant change them as far as i know, CPU aint that great and ram isnt that great, only thing you can do to that system to try and get it to work better is more ram and then i would still expect it to lag on the lowest settings

Video card is probably ATI Xpress 200M which might run the game but it will run about like a Radeon 9200 which is pretty bad.
