Can't get 1.41 to work

I've downloaded patch 1.41 from the ea site and gamers hell and both times when i tried to connect to 1.41 servers it says the server version is newer than mine.
I got a mate to download the 1.41 from gamers hell and it worked fine for him but when i tried to join the server he was on it still said the servers version is newer :S any idea how to fix?

Are you logged in to Windows as an administrator?

Are there any patching errors?

You might try a clean boot--go into MSCONFIG, disable all start up programs, and under the services tab, turn off all non-MS services, reboot, and repatch. Sometimes there will be programs/processes running in the background that will muck with the way that windows handles files, especially security software.

If you try this, don't forget to go back to msconfig and turn the start-ups and processes you need back on again.
