Hi all ive just got back into Battlefield 2 and before i had no problem but has I play now within 10-30 or so my game freezes and i have to restart i have had this problem in the past but i couldnt remember how i fixed it. Any help ? Thanks:)

If you dont know them Start > Run > dxdiag
get the CPU/Memory information from the System tab and your graphics from the Display tab -

Memory 1024mb ram
40gb hdd ( not big) but enough
Geforce 5900fx agp 128mb

Reinstall might help, but it could also be a heat issue, especially if we're talking about a consistent freeze after a half-an-hour of gameplay. How long has it been since you opened your PC and blasted out the dustbunnyhoppers?
Also, any programs running in the background could cause BF2 to freak out. She's a finicky, jealous wench, that program.
With a 40gb hd, defragging and opening up some space might also help, because you're forcing Windows to read/write from all over the disk.Comment
