Need Help With Server List Problem

Im having a really annoying problem with my server list on battlefield 2.

I know im not the only one because alot of people have been disscussing this elsewhere.

I would appreciate any feedback that anyone can give me, so please, if you know anything dont hesitate to post a reply.

So heres the problem:

When i load up Bf2 and refresh the server list, i only get 20 - 30 server that come up... Ive got the new expansion pack (special forces) and ive updated to the latest 1.14 patch (or whaterver its called) and it still does the same thing.. I havent got any filters on except for the "same version only" filter. When i untick this filter it does over 1000 servers, but i cant go on them because aparently i havent got the same version... If i need to get a different patch, please can someone give me a link or anything...

You need patch 1.41 not 1.14

Are you launching Special Forces instead of Vanilla? There are only 30 servers that show up for SF for me, but 800 vanilla servers.

Yeh ive got the 1.41 patch, thats what i meant, And whats vanilla? :S

vanilla=plain

plain BF2, not expansion (SF) or boosters (AF, EF)

Well, yeh i was loading up the SF one, ill try doing the original one now and see if it works... but even before i got the SF expansion pack i had the same problem with the servers so i dont think it will make a difference, thanks for trying to help anyway

yeh, i just tried starting up the original game and it has the same problem... can anyone think of anything else? please

Check your server browser filters...

The X in the box means to include that in the search...

Have you installed SF after you patched BF2 to 1.41 because if you did you will need to repatch to 1.41. When you install SF it patches SF and BF2 back to 1.1

Try repatching to 1.41 and that should fix your problem.

did that already mate, seriously ive tried everything... nothing is working :| and as i said, the only filter that is on is the "same version only filter"

you might try giving qtracker a try. its a stand alone server browser with way more options than the in-game browser. the link is in my sig.
