Yes.

New weapons can be modelled, skinned, and implemented. It's pretty time consuming though.

The M16A4 is going to make it in eventually though, IIRC.

AFAIK We are making a custom model for the M16A4 due to how sights are going to be modeled too.

The official PR is out :p.

IIRC the devs are trying to release updates in intervals of 3-4 months.

All factions will be getting optics eventually as well, if I remember correctly.

Seriously, the most annoying question mod teams get asked is "when will it be out?" :p.

I tried one of the earlier versions of PR and what was bit odd was Kalashnikov assault rifle.. recoil was too heavy and rifle barrel went directly up. IRL Kalashinkov type of weapons barrel goes up-right (I believe it turns right under about 40-45 degree angle- smth like / ) because one pretty massive part in gunlock moves (takes half-turns) while shooting.. and you can fire short 2-3 shot bursts good enough to hit target on 100m..

served with AKS74U, AKM and AK74 in army back at 2002. Company had specific training for guerilla warfare and thatswhy Russian weapons all the way

PR will probably never be "done" hehe. I think with v0.6 we'll have completed the first pass at a total overhaul of the spawning mechanism and that should represent the bulk of really drastic changes from vBF2.

My goal is to try and get to 60 day release intervals. The gap between v0.3x and v0.4 was heinous .. like 8 months and it almost killed the mod and the team. The gap between v0.4 and v0.5 was 90 days and was still a bit of a beast to manage because of the sheer volume of changes.

Hoping to get v0.6 out about 60 days after v0.5. Over the next couple of weeks we'll be finalising the v0.6 features and will start to communicate details about the changes.

There's some more whacky stuff in the works hehe .. uh .. not sure if it's gonna work, but worth trying :)

As i type this, i'm downloading this mod (65% so far) so don't be suprised to see me in here more often. Friend of mine has .4 and said it's a really slick mod, so here i am. I browsed through the other mods and this one looks far and away the best one. Looking forward to it.
