So just seeing what the community wants to see in the next bf3 maybe if ea decides to continue with the battlefield franchise.

more diversity/differences between the teams (like how a RTS have teams that differ stragetically) that promote different strategies - and are balanced well.

As far as setting/environment is concerned, I think they've done everything, so a reiterated of a 'not to far in the future modern war' works well.

No matter how EA fubared things in bf2, one thing they DO have is money. Without a ton of cash behind it, bf3 is more likely then not to be a second (or third) class game. As far as DICE is concerned...meh.. what else have they made?

And in their defence, EA Sports, at least, have made a lot of great games...

its prob going to be like bf2 (same story line ) but like with a lot more stuff because tho 1942 was popular, wwii has been overdone with cod, cod2, dod, and others. sci-fi in 2142 sortof failed so yeah..im guessing its going to be modern warfare again

I would love a BF3 that was very much like BF2, but also like WoW in terms of scale. I'll go dig up my big ideas that I have posted in the past. I have a few long posts on this subject. It would end up being a pilot whore, armor whore, infantry whore's wet dream though.

yes imporved AI that take cover and the ability to asign them to squads and the ability to order them into vehicles bombs aregts and head to certain areas to switch kits, basically the b2f engine and characteristic but ai that do EXCATLY what you say same way how in an rts you say mvoe here they doi it, atatck here they atatck anything on route. this would be sweet but making weapons and damage like PRM would force u 2 use cover.

lolz but i can seriously see midage bf2 happending i mena if players will use a knife they will use a sword, arrows can be ballanced by tkaing 3 shots to kill armor and slower firing of course and slower movment.

i actually think the unpatched version is loads better than the "good" patch we have,if u play on the unpatched version sure theres some glitches but the gameplay is actually awesome and is why i was so reluctant to patch up after reinstalling.

for your info, they already have continued with the battlefield franchise with 2142. but thats crap.
Since they already went all future on us, methinks the next will be back before WWII, Like the Civil War, or hell even the revolutionary war. Guns in the revolutionary war would suck, shoot once and 7 minutes later READY FOR SECOND SHOT! rofl. So, melee would probably much more used.....swords, bayonettes, oh and CANNONS! Vehicles would be turned into horses, wagons, and maybe naval sailing ships.

Civil War would be the better choice though, bolt action springfields (erm....I dont think im right here but did they have bolt action in the Civil War?) More horses, swords and bayonettes, but also FREAKIN HUGE CANNONS AND SEMI AUTOMATIC SIX SHOOTERS! plus better warships and the early subs, same ol wagons and trains, maybe trains, i dont know what the hell you would do with a train in the battlefield series.
yup, EA screwed themselves over in the modern combat Battlefield games by making 2142 and not sticking with the BF2 series.
hell i think playing revolutionary war would be interesting......swords would probably have block, parry, stab, slash features, since it would be a more sensible way of fighting. not the ol stab in BF2 2142 and 1942

have you ever heard the story of a writer who had a great idea and wanted it to be a movie, he submitted it and was tricked into gigivng voer alot of rights, the big evil company chaned so much and when it was realeased it was just another movie.

thats the path you just tried to start battlefield down.

NO
