Updated GFX and now Im Fubared!

I just upgraded my system from a x600se GFX card to a 7800GTX. I can start the game just fine, but when I try to enter any Online game I get a Cd Key Invalid error.

WTF... so upgrading your system for BF2 brakes it because EA is afraid your using illegal software? GRRR.

Is there any fix for this OTHER THEN reinstalling the game, which I can't do.

there is another method which is tiny bit more complicated but not really once u learn how then its pretty simple

Go to start > run > "regedit" > press OK

then navigate on the left side of the regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SOFTWARE >> Electronic Arts >> EA GAMES >> Battlefield 2 >> ERGC

then doboule click on the (DEFAULT) on the right hand side of hte regedit

under value data, u should see lots of weird stuff. delete verything there
type in x9392 then ur cd key so it looks something like

x939247AGQUICK42SMRT21S

where
47AGQUICK... is ur cd key then click done or w/e and yeah

Remembers me of Call of Duty 2.. I re-installed the game and immediately went on-line and got a CD Key already used error. Anyway after I rebooted my PC and waited a couple of minutes it went away.

But I think you already solved it anyway?
