Single Fire

I started playing Medic lately (and yes, I'm a total Medic whore) and I was doing fine with the AK, but the M16 was giving me a lot of trouble with the 3 shot bursts. So I decided to try out single fire and I was p00nin' balls.

Pros:
- Waste less ammo to kill your enemy
- Better accuracy

Con:
- Sometimes when you run into someone with a machine gun you will get pwned if you don't click fast enough

What are your thoughts on single fire?

You bet ya! I've mastered the one shot with the RPK. Total Carnage in skilled hands.

and BTW: to the OP in response to your CON. The "3" key will get ya back to where ya need to be. Get used to it...not to far away from the forward key.

You haven't experienced single shot until you have done it with the L85A1.

Ever see a full squad with RPK's? I saw a lot of dead bodies...

And yeah, I know that 3 will put me back to the 3 shot bursts. But when you encounter a guy, you don't always have time. Some people manage to kill you before you hit the ground.

Yeah, the L85A1 is pretty badass but I try not to use unlocks because of TWL.

You bet I have! :) I've been in them before. You can cover ALOT of area with 6 RPK's.
Been on the bad side of them also. Not where I wanted to be!

and I wasn't trying to say that you are a noob. If you get used to hitting that key you'll have more than enough time. Either that or just get used to using it in close quarters.

Single shot is the best. Especially if you have decent accuracy and get headshots right away. Burst is for butt pirates.

Single shot on any gun is sweet. Try it with AK-101... you'll like it even more.

i prefer Single Shot on most guns if i cant select single shot on the gun then ill try my best to do it manually,

before anyone moans all your posts have been edited to remove the post title so it matches the thread title, people can grow up now.

if you run into someone when your on single shot it helps to imeediatly go prone and press 3 to go into auto fire.
