actually, a j-10 is quite killable, and easy to kill if you follow my tips-
stay on his tail using a regular turn, and using the small turns
wait for him to drop his flares, stay on his tail
once flares are gone, let all six of your missles rip. always gets em each time.
go back to base and rearm
repeat.

You obviously haven't faced a decent J10 pilot then. I could get in a J10, let you follow me and lock on, then dodge all 6 of your missiles without flares. If you know what you're doing in the J10 it's invincible to other aircraft, period. Lack of skill from the person piloting it doesn't negate the J10s awesome ability.

why use all up to down a j10? 2 is enough. the hint is that u need to lead those missiles up their *** after they pop flares and always remember to keep the j10 on the bottom of your reticle and make sure when u lead, your jet is stable and smooth if it's shaky, all the missiles will miss.....

oh yeah plus, the j-10 may be almost invincible to missles, but if you actually learn to gun air targets instead of just ground targets, and you learn to do it effectively you can infact take them out quite easily. so everyone just stop whining about the hitboxes......quite annoying after the thousandth time. and no im not one of those j-10 whoring baseraping fags.

The J10 isn't almost invincible to missiles, it is invincible to enemy planes, period. The thing is unhittable with missiles and when flown by the right pilot you will never get a window of oppurtunity to use the guns. Key word here is the right pilot, which you apparently haven't faced yet. When a J10 gets shot down by another plane it's 100% pilot error of the person flying it.

If your a good pilot, you can evade missles in a J-10, period. If you can't your not as good as you think, or you dont know how to handle the J-10. Its unbelievable who well those things evade missles. Sure Ive shot a lot of them down, but with missles, that means that the pilot wasn't that great. With guns is the only way to take down a good pilot pretty much. They dont evade 100%, so theres that chance that a missle WILL hit a good pilot. The bottom line is that the J-10 is most definitely overpowered.

Erm yeh, those ******* WILL leave you alone if they run out of missles, simple as, so many times I've had a J10 behind ran out of missles they fallow you for few seconds trying to gun you down with a MG but always give up and go back to the airfield to get more missles. That's how sh!t the J10 pilots are. Cuz it's extremely easy to gun an F35B down with MG only too, *******. That's all I have to say.

its rare to see any pilot capable of using the cannons, not just a nub in a j10.

THIS is the part where it is quite difficult, especially with the F-35B. In most cases this will ensue a merry-go-round game and whoever gets bored or somehow screws up will break it off. I don't know who you're flying against, but the J-10 pilots I go against sure ain't dumb enough to fly in a way that makes it simple for me to "stay on his tail". Me? I try to climb altitude up to over 700 meters as fast as I can.

Probably the best method to kill the J-10 using missiles is to somehow gain distance between you and the J-10 once it released its flares. It seems to me that the longer distance between you and the target, the better chances your missiles will hit the J-10.

As for whether it is overpowered, I'd say generally it is; even to average pilots. The common reaction for many pilots against and incoming missile is to break to left or right which is enough for a J-10 to avoid the missiles; not the case for F-35B, the most common opponent of the J-10.

i think it's a matter of the player not wanting to eject so he can die with the jet. that way he knows when it will spawn again. most people just won't be waiting on the jet unless it's a packed server.

P.S. most pilots aren't smart enough to bail out when their jet is on fire, they just wait there and die. I don't get it. Maybe they prefer dying then holding a gun ><

It mainly comes from bf1942/DC Its was a gentleman's rule between good pilots that you went down with your jet when pubbing and stuff.. I think if someones worked his butt off in a dogfight for the kill and you bail its a little lame. Im not to bothered about getting credited another death.

ive shotten down j-10s many a time in an f-35.........are there just not that many good pilots anymore or something????? all i keep hearing is that the j-10 OWNS OWNS OWNS which in truth it DOES, but only in good hands. is there no more good pilots? yes, for every j-10 kill i get, im shot down 2 or 3 times, but i do kill them....

I am a very skilled pilot and when im in a j10 the only time you will get me is if i got lazy and didnt check my rear view before i reload over runway. Other then that I challenge you to get behind me and see how long it takes before i SHOOT YOU DOWN> name a server and a time..
