    M14 question.

why the hell isnt it fully auto?

I can understand the argument for the improved ranged shooting in semi auto fire mode how ever I doubt the US military would opt out of having full auto fire.
seriously why would the military buy civ rifles when a fully auto is so much more useful and if they do what are they thinking, those type of descisions get people killed.

Also from what ive seen the scope is suposed to be a 10X it seems like its maybe a 4X on it in the game. i dono maybe im wrong but the scope in the game doesnt seem to give you the zoom a 10X does. and as the effective range of the rifle in reality is up to 800meters a 10X seems to be at least apropriate.

    Re: M14 question.

if you've ever fired a 7.62 weapon you would know there is no way you would fire a rifle with that caliber on auto. If you actually looked at any automatic rifles these days they are all weaker calibers. It initially did have full auto. If the government left it on auto all you would do is waste ammo, though with semi-auto you would be able to hit the enemy.

Your saying that the government is buying there rifles and they will get ppl killed, thats probably why they got rid of them at the beginning of the vietnam war.

You obviously have no idea about firearms and should do some research before you start criticizing your government about bad decision when you are proposing a bad uninformed decision about weapons

although i agree the option ot have the auto is plausible if your a marksman your not gonna not gonna need it but still if it is reality maybe i t should have auto capabilities?

thier right.7.62 well. you got hat one shot. if you had auto. youd drop to the accuracy of an ak47. and they only need that one shot. and it wasnt designed for close quarters. its just a marksman rifle.

Just be thankful it's a one shot, one kill weapon. And seriously, with the added recoil in PR, you would hate automatic fire.
