I would suggest seat-switching if you need to shoot someone near the tank. It eliminates the need to be a 'noob.'

I just remapped the 1st seat and 2nd seat to mouse buttons. Extremely easy to flip back and forth (works for tanks, transport, AA, and even helos, but I never fly let alone solo).

Why? It's just like anything else in the game. I use it until it's exhausted, then I move onto foot to cause more deaths.

Armor is just a tool. This isn't a ship and I ain't it's Captain. There's no rule that says I have to go down with it.

If the situation calls for it, get out of your tank and kill the guy... What's the problem?

Yep. I have plenty of teampoints to spare for these special 'teaching aids'. If you're a supply guy drop ammo.. Medic? Healthpacks. Not only are you helping your team, you're getting points for it, *******. I always follow it up with "Next time drop ammo or you will surely die again"

I usually play AT, nothing pisses me off more then seeing 2 supply guys right beside me running away scared as I have no ammo staring at a smoking APC capping our flag - just one more rocket, dammit.

LOL that might have been me, i do that a lot on Wake. I'm trying to start a new thing, where f-35's are feared as hovering cannons.

a lot of times spec ops guys put c4 on me successfully, but then i get out and shoot them because they are so paranoid of getting killed by their own c4 that they run like 40 metres away (or try to, for that matter).

there are a lot bf2 people on dumb, but hey, maybe your one of them. (see Green)

also fun is tank surfing. just jump on the enemy tank, shoot/knife the gunner, and then ride around shooting the enemy, most people dont look at friendly tanks as a threat and wont notice an enemy on top throwing grenades and shooting people
dude i love doing that lol, only problem is getting on top but once u get up there its golden.

I knocked plenty of choppers down with my GL, it doesn't happen all the time but you'd be surprised. Oh and it's always fun to shoot into the folks riding along, I love to see them fall...like we all do.

Oh and mwillin, I've experienced the same only I jumped into his tank once he jumped out....happened many times.

Eh, maybe he was just a noobie? No need to call him an idiot. Christ you should've been grateful.
