When I installed Bf2 I didnt do the mic setup....so now I have a mic and was wondering how do I do that setup!? Please its urgent I got a game comin up!
Does it affect it? All I did when I first did the setup (during bf:2 installation) was hit ok because I had no mice and mine still worked without having to do any thing but plut it in and assign a key. Have you tried the threshold test to see if it works in the game?
run the game
go into options
then audio
then turn on VOIP and adjust the settings
BUT
if you realy want to use in game voice comms
get teamspeak and or ventrilo
it is 10000000000000000000000000% better quality
and find a server that has a clan that promotes it use for all vistors
(hint: like us and many many others)
64.34.181.6
OK maybe you don't get it...but I appreciate your help.
When I installed BF2 I skipped the VOIP section sicne I don't have a mic.
Then I got a mic, and I plugged it in and the PC guy was here just 2 hours ago helping me with a connection problem we got alot...so that is fixed and he looked at my mic and made it work.
Now I logged into Bf2 and went to check out the mic...I pressed
boost mic gain
Increased the levels to 100percent on both recieve and transmit
Then I press "start mic test" and nothing happend...do I need to press B or V or something?!
Then I decided to join a server I joined the squad VOIP and they couldnt hear me! Whats up plz...if I'm being a jerk plz tell me and I will cool down.
you can run the initial voice setup again by going to your "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2" directory and running the program called "BF2VoiceSetup".
