Those who thought that ArmA would take over BF2 were indeed idiots- ArmA just too difficult for the average BF2 player= they go back to bf2.

But it doesn`t suck balls at all, it`s just not your cup of tea.

Great constructive post you have right there...

But anyway, Armed Assault is really a game that has to fit your personal taste. Here's a portion of a review for it that sums it up well:

Ultimately, whether Armed Assault is a must-have tonic to sate your thirst for hardcore military action or a bitter and overly tactical chore comes down to your personal gaming taste. That, and to the extent you're prepared to turn a blind eye to the game's lack of sheen.

Love it or hate it though, you simply can't argue that Armed Assault is one hugely accomplished modern combat simulator. If that's what you're looking for, you won't be disappointed.

It's definitely a game that takes more time to learn than BF2...not to mention it hasn't even been released in the US yet and only was released yesterday in the UK and other parts of Europe, so to compare it to the number of players BF2 has isn't really fair at this point.
