    Communications within a squad...

Hmm well there is probably a very easy answer to this and i will be regarded as an idiot for even asking.

How do you communicate with your squad leader if your a squad member? At the moment i have to type to him but i want to be able to use my mic, squad leaders can talk to there members but how do they reply?

go into options audio and make sure VOIP is enabled
then the default key in game is B ( i think )

    or
get ventrilo/or teamspeak loaded onto your computer
    Waaaaaay better audio quality

    ps

    no DUMB questions here
well . . . there have been many thousands of them
    but yours is fine :)

      Do what Greg said.

"B" is the key to talk to your squad. Everyone in the squad, including the squad leader, will hear you.

"V" is the key to talk to the commander if you are squad leader. If you are commanding, then it will only speak to squad leaders (the ones selected).

The only way a commander can speak with squad members is through Ventrillo or Teamspeak.

Make sure when you set up Ventrillo (I don't have Teamspeak) that you map your microphone key. I was "using" Ventrillo for 2 weeks before I realized no one could hear me because I wasn't pressing a button. <-noob

:edit: Oh, some other advice. When communicating over VoIP or Ventrillo, remember that your team/squad mates don't always know where you are so be sure to include descriptive language. For example, "There are two guys behind us just north of the building at Market," instead of, "Two guys behind us." It's especially helpful if you get killed and watch the enemies running around above your body.
