Driver Special Ability Points

I have finely met all but one of the qualifications for the Metal of Valor!



250 hrs
1,000 Flag defend points
30,000 Team work points

Out of the 5,000 Driver Special Ability Points (DSA) I need 1,567 more DSA points!

The question is:

What are the easiest ways to get DSA points?

Drive around while people spam grenades and ammo packs.

You get a DSA point when someone in your vehicle earns a team point (resupply, heal). I think those are really the only way to get them. :edit: Also, repair... duh.

The point is that you are driving and someone else in the vehicle earns the team points.

Thanks for the clearification CS! I was in hopes that you were not looking to turn my thread into a FW!

To me it seems DSA points are the hardest points to get! At least it has been for me. I did do a forum search before I posted and did not find a thread where people discussed what "the best ways were" to get the DSA points, only "what you had to do to get them".

BF2S tells me it's the same.

Yes, you only get a different text message. So I'd say the fastest way to earn them, would be to pilot a chopper for a good gunner.

I will give that a try and take note of the before and after DSA points to see if that is the case!

it tells you ingame when you get a driver special ability point, it is not the same thing as a driver kill assist. the before and after will only change if you get a message that says "driver ability assist." The best way to get them is to drive a vehicle for a long time. just grab a transport and drive people around to flags and stuff, used to be blackhawks worked best, but they are death traps now, so id just recommend a vodnik, hum-vee on a city level, if you can find one thats not io. The key is to stay in the vehicle with teammates riding for an extended period of time.

To get the Medal of Valor, you can collect the points you get as a chopper pilot. There is no way I could have already gotten over 6000 points just for driving people around the map. I would have noticed.

To sum things up:

DKA + DSA = Driver Points <--- 5000 required for Medal of Valor

edit: I just noticed that depending on which statspage you look, the names (DSA/DKA/Driverpoints) differ.
You'll be fine collecting your Driver Kill Assists as a chopper pilot tough

I have well over 30,000 of those with Great gunners
so . . . either get a GREAT gunner in helo
or be a helo pilot when SOMEONE ELSE
earns a point
eg
you (as pilot) be non-supply
have a supply guy on board, then when you fly spec ops to blow up arty
or engineers to drop mines on roads, when he gets a resupply point, then you get the driver points
might also work in a jeep
but do not just chuck things arbitrarily = pure stat padding
and if caught - well - do it at your own risk
if we catch you in our server just doing it for nothing - kick/ban/report

I am slowly working my way to earning this badge. My buddy and I fly in the chopper when ever we can. I am the pilot for 2 reasons. One, he's not that great of a pilot (at least not better than me) and I need his driver kill assits for my stupid medal.

Some times he will shoot a tank with the chain guns as I am going after it with my rockets. He will get credit for the kill. I usually say "you stole my kill", but I know that i would rather have him get the kill and me get the driver assist.

Being a helicopter pilot with a good gunner is probably the quickest way. Second would be in the bomber. After that, your guess is as good as mine.
