Relatively new to BF2 online and the whole ranking scheme with badges etc... anyway I have played the sniper class and gotten 10 kills in a round but no basic sniper badge. I have the basic support badge and have the 15 hours and 20 kills in a round but no veteran support badge... am I missing something?

Secondly, are all your kills in a round with that kit? You didn't switch your kit at all and kill someone?
But, yeah... check if it's a ranked server. It should have
if it is ranked.

The 2 main servers I play on are ranked and as near as I can remember I did not change kits during the round. I am assuming killing folks with grenades, claymores is ok, just kills in a round while in that kit...Comment

Yeah, that's fine. It doesn't matter how you kill the enemy, just as long as you are playing as the one kit. Are you sure you had the 15 hours for support BEFORE you got the 20 kills in a round? It doesn't count if you have a 20 kill round, but you weren't at 15 hours in the kit yet.Originally posted by KGB5050Comment

Ah that would be it... I got the 20 kills before the 15 hours... pity it doesn't remember that :cry: ... still trying to figure out the 10 kills IAR for basic sniper and why I don't have that badge...Comment

may just be some random server or account server error. I would suggest trying a different server (if you haven't done that already)
if you got the ingame drum roll you have the badge and the account server is slow. if you got the reqs for the badge and you don't get the drum roll the server you are on is having some sort of problem connecting to the account server or it isn't ranked.Comment

Thanks for all the info... I have gotten the drumroll for all promotions and for the badges I currently have... think I have the vet support badge sanfu figured out courtesy of barracudaj... guess I will have to get another 20 kills IAR and then 10 as a sniper...Comment

...Like Paul Day said, probably just a random server/account issue. I remember once having all the requirements for Crew Service ribbon, but nothing happened...then I got it a week later on another server, even though I wasn't expecting it...
