I'm fairly hacked off with BF2.
I typically have to try 4 times to connect to a server, because "connection was lost" so such.
This wouldn't be a problem if it didn't take 2-5 minutes per go to load the map every time - on top of trying to get myself an open slot..
It seems I spend more time loading and connecting than I do playing. Especially since I typically get disconnected again between map loads. By the time I've connected again, there's only 5-10 minutes left of the map and then I start the process all over again.
I have an alright spec (see sig if it's still there)- I have all of the settings on low/medium so I don't really understand why I'm having this problem. I've disabled everything I can find on my desktop, solution suggestions welcome.
I've tried reducing audio hardware acceleration but haven't tested yet. Again, suggestions welcome. It's annoying.
