    Flashes!?!?!

How do you unlock flash grenades?
+ What are the little empty spots that are under your main weapon for kit...

Like it shows you what you have....grenades, claymores, mines, etc

What goes inthe empty ones? and how do you get them?

Me thinks you unlock Flashbangs by unlocking the F2000 kit. That's how I got mine at least.

      Yeah, F2000.

You need SF to get it. It's the second teir assault kit.

Empty spots? No idea... there shouldn't be any...

Just beware... as in some cruel joke also experienced in Counterstrike.. flashbangs in BF2 seem to blind teammates more effectively than the enemy that they were intended for... strange how that seems to happen.

Also, when you do throw one, tell your squad mates first... and don't say it as your throwing it either....

And yes, it tends to hurt friendlies more than foes...

Yeh flashes do have a very annoying affect on teammates. We had just captured the gatehouse (think that's the one, well it was near the train accident anyway) on strike at Karkand and some idiot dropped a flash, my whole screen went white so i started jumping around and ended up dead, splattered on the pavement...

In my opinion, Flashbangs last WAY too long. Anyone share the same feeling?

Yeah the flashbangs come with the F2000, dunno why it has em as an unlock in BFHQ as even once you unlock it, its still unlocked. aint got a clue what you mean by the empty slots though

LOL. whenever i use the flashbangs, im not joking everyone seems to do this.
it just makes me laugh. another thing people tend to do is go prone and find a wall. only thing is, when their vision starts to come back, im in their face with the knife:)

Flashbangs don't "tend to accidentally hit your own team", people throw them to do exactly that :P

                      lol

I love flashing a chopper as it takes off.

                      Straight up... and straight down.

Empty spots? Probably a bug due to lag.

I think by Empty Spots, the OP is talking about the kit screen. Under nearth the gun is a bunch of lil squares with icons for what that kit can do, like a medic has a medic bag, AT has a tank rocket. There's a bunch of empty squares.

Flashbangs never seem to work for me. However, when I get it, yeah, it lasts for ages. It would be an awesome weapon if it worked better.

The most effective method is to throw them up in the air, so that they explode above head height. It blinds everything within a large radius.

If you toss them on the ground, you only need a plant, tree or someone standing infront of you, and it wont work.

No. Run out of the blast radius. You'll be fine.
