Seems most people who say unlocks suck don't have SF...

They're just jealous. :)

I have most of the SF unlocks and I'm not impressed with most of them. The L96 is good but I rarely play sniper. The P90 is probably the best SMG in the game but that isn't saying much. The G36E is the best of the lot but I hate 3-round burst. Some of the level 1 unlocks are very nice though, especially G36C and DAO-12. I normally use the G3 and L85A1 when playing USA (did I mention I hate 3-round burst?); otherwise I'll stick with AKs.

AK-101 is one of the best guns in the game, imho. M24>L96A1. I'm still indifferent about the L85A1. I loved it first, and then grew to love the Ak-101 and M16. I've used the L86A1 recently (pulled from dead commrades), and I've liked it more so than before.

Regardless, the unlocks are not all they are cracked up to be.

OP, congrats on two worthless icons in your stats page. Use them well.

Just so you know... the G36E and G36C are essentially the same thing.

In real life perhaps, but not in BF2. The G36E does more damage per hit, has a higher RoF, and has 3-round burst instead of full-auto while the G36C is more accurate and is full-auto. In any case, they are not really competing with each other since they are for different kits. I'll take the G36C over the SCAR-L any day; more accuracy+less recoil is more important to me than the tiny damage advantage.
