Starting a Server

I am wanting to start my own battlefield server. I don't mean rent one, but actually have the computer.

I was wondering what kind of hardware/software I will need.

You will first of all need the BF2 server software (which can be installed through the DVD).

Then you will probably need 1.5 GB of RAM or more, a decent CPU and a fairly newe mobo. Depends on the maxplayers and the mapsize.
