Will Battlefield 2 Deluxe play on my system?

Hi all,

Just joined up here.

Well im thinking about buying Battlefield 2 Deluxe Edition.

Just wandering if it will play ok on my system?

Heres my computer specs:

AMD Sempron 2800+ @ 2Ghz
Asus A7V8X-LA
1.25Gb PNY Pc3200 (1Gb+256)
Club Radeon 9600 Pro (256mb) agp
120Gb Seagate barracuda 7200Rpm
Lite-On Cd/Dvd writer & Dvd drive
ADVENT Wireless optical mouse & Keyboard
Windows XP Professional

As you can see my computer isnt exactly the best lol but ive played a game called Prey maxed out and also doom 3 so you guys think BF will play ok?

Ive tried just the BF2 demo quite a while back and it did play fine but im gonna be buying the Battlefield 2 Deluxe Edition so does it make any diffrence?

by my rather unknowledgable reckoning you should be fine mate.

i run it on a laptop with a radeon 9700 128mgb and i can have things on medium fine.

Yeah, most settings will be lower but you should be able to run it no problem.

your system is BARELY good enough
put ALL settings on LOWEST or OFF
except view distance = 100% and geometry on high
(you need those to see things far if you plan to fly)
if you plan on ground fighting - drop it to 75% and low

You will be able to play, but not on the highest settings.
I would recommend upgrading your GPU (graphics card) though.

put ALL settings on LOWEST or OFF
except view distance = 100% and geometry on high
(you need those to see things far if you plan to fly)
if you plan on ground fighting - drop it to 75% and low

No that cant be right sir....My friend has a Sempron 2800+ ...1Gb of memory and a geforce 6200 (Which is equilvilent to my 9600)

and he says Battlefield 2 plays great on medium settings and on large maps too

And to be honest i cant see battlefield 2 needing more powerfull system that Prey or Doom 3 .

but yes - it MIGHT play on medium
BUT the fps would be BAD
I GUARANTTEE it
please check you fps and list your settings
(in console mode = enter (without the quotes)
"renderer.drawfps 1"

It does depend a great deal on which maps and which size you play on.

if the demo plays - the deluxe will play. its the same game.

Well just been playing the demo again and have all graphics set to medium...and anti aliansing to 4x.

Im getting an average of 44FPS according to fraps.

I have no lag whatsoever too

after all the patches the fps will go down one or two, but if it runs fine in the demo - you should be ok with the game.
